Last weekend was a good one. I had a lot of help. We laid all of the tile in the lower level on Saturday. Tony laid the majority of the tile. Doug ran the saw, my dad cut the straight cuts on the tile cutter, and I fed Tony the tile. It was a combined effort, we laid close to 400 sq.ft of tile around my maze of a kitchen. I really like the way it turned out.
This blog was started to document our remodel of a Mid Century Modern home in Kansas City built by Don Drummond. You will also find information on my furniture design/build and other side projects.
I am a third generation home builder in the Kansas City area. I grew up working for my Fathers construction company and I graduated w/ an Architecture degree from Kansas State University in 2005. I hope to eventually combine my two passions into a Design Build Company. I am currently working for myself at Studio Build doing projects in the Kansas City area. I'm currently looking for design/build work in the area and am tackling several local projects. Please contact me if you would like to discuss a project.

The following links are ones that I found throughout my remodel process. I purchased things from many of the sites, I'm not affiliated with any of them though I could be if for some reason they want to send me some free stuff. Hopefully these help some of you in your own adventures.
