Ipe Raised Vegtable Garden part 2 the installation
After a busy two days I got the garden bed installed. I must say its massive, but it does look really cool in the yard. Jessica was off yesterday and was able to help me set the sections in place which made it go a lot easier.
Looks great! The posts you used here don't appear to be ipe (or maybe its b/c you didn't finish them?) -- can you share the wood type?
Also, in Part 1, you mention "finished and waxed" the ipe -- can you share the products you recommend for doing this and a quick rundown of the process?
This blog was started to document our remodel of a Mid Century Modern home in Kansas City built by Don Drummond. You will also find information on my furniture design/build and other side projects.
I am a third generation home builder in the Kansas City area. I grew up working for my Fathers construction company and I graduated w/ an Architecture degree from Kansas State University in 2005. I hope to eventually combine my two passions into a Design Build Company. I am currently working for myself at Studio Build doing projects in the Kansas City area. I'm currently looking for design/build work in the area and am tackling several local projects. Please contact me if you would like to discuss a project.

The following links are ones that I found throughout my remodel process. I purchased things from many of the sites, I'm not affiliated with any of them though I could be if for some reason they want to send me some free stuff. Hopefully these help some of you in your own adventures.
