Finally!
Well I thought I would let you all know that we passed inspection yesterday with flying colors. I also moved in last night and spent the first night in the new place. We still have a lot to do to the house but its livable, now we just have to get things unpacked. I will takes some pictures over the weekend so look for those next week.

One week left
Well I've been really busy lately trying to get things wrapped up before the big move day. Since I last posted I've gotten a lot done. The doors and drawers are lacquered for the bedroom closets. Dave has installed all of the lights, switches, plugs etc. I've grouted the bathroom. Installed the tile in the entry and around the fireplace, and grouted it. Installed the cork in the bedrooms and the living room. The kitchen sink, stove, and dishwasher are all installed and working properly. The kitchen countertops are installed. All of the walnut doors are installed, they were a little challenging but the Johnson Hardware track works great. I've got some more photos and will try and get some more posted. If you have any questions let me know. I'm off to install the shower fixtures and finish up the details.

Lots of tile
Well over Labor Day weekend I did what any person who was finishing a home would do, I ignored the beautiful weather and worked my tail off. Well 3 days later the bathroom is tiled, I still have morter on my hands and my dad is calling me pigpen (the character from Charlie Brown) from my amazing ability to get whatever I'm doing all over myself and everything else. I got some help from Tony on Saturday but by the time we figured out all of the various locations to start the tile we only got two walls done. That left me to finish the floor and other walls, along with the various shelves and such I'm including, because I've been informed that I can't do anything the easy way. I had help from my dad, mom, my brother, Doug, and Chris. Well the tile's all laid I was hoping to get it grouted this past weekend but that wasn't in the cards. The tiles don't photograph well, the best color shot is the last one that gives the most accurate depiction. The holes in the wall will be fitted with birch boxes to be used as shelves.
Progress
Well I thought I would post a few photos just showing how things are coming together. We got the fridge installed on Sunday, I think its Jessica's favorite piece. The doors to the closets are done and fitted, they fit really nice. Doug is going to lacquer them for me for now, but eventually they will be painted some really cool colors.
